Local Alert Weather Day: Smoky and hot, Red Flag Warning and Air Quality Alert

We have extended the Local Alert Day into at least Thursday as there will be high fire danger, hot weather, along with poor air quality.

There is a Red Flag Warning into Friday, and an Air Quality Alert for Jefferson County until Thursday night. The Alert Day is to inform everyone about the dangerous weather conditions that, when combined, create conditions that will be hazardous to the health and well being of our viewers.

Stay inside if you can, use air filters if you have them and avoid any strenuous outdoor activity in the heat and bad air quality.
